International Parliamentary Forum

Presentation

The International Parliamentary Forum, to take place at the World Congress of Families, will gather the foremost activists and leaders of civic, educational and research organizations -defending the natural family and life as fundamental principles -, together with political representatives to analyze and propose solutions addressing the political and international legislative areas  as well as the  participation and impact of civil society.

The International Parliamentary Forum aims to be a prolific meeting among political representatives and civil society leaders focused on the study and the defense of the family: a multidisciplinary meeting parting from unity that springs from a common cause and shared values. There is a clear aspiration: to gather unite efforts and synergies to achieve a reform of all the legislations that at the present time, attack, undervalue, reject or undermine human dignity, the natural family and the defense of life as well as to propitiate greater effectiveness on the part of civil society and of citizen participation.

Objectives:

To draft a map of countries and legislations favorable or contrary to the above mentioned shared values.

  • To present problems, needs and proposals and to bring forward concrete solutions in each area.
  • To establish priorities for action on a long and medium term basis to be reviewed in future WCF Parliamentary Forums.
  • To promote the dissemination to governments of the concrete proposals agreed upon the International Forum as well as the means needed to do so.
  • Joint press conference.
